So, another Winter Olympics is on its way and more exciting than the skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing – a fresh batch of quirky, unusual and downright weird Olympic mascots!

Who can forget Misha, the cuddly bear of Moscow 1980 that gained international recognition as a singer/songwriter and philanthropist? Ok, so I looked it up on the interweb and made the last bit up, but why shouldn’t Vancouver 2010 aim as high as possible with their cute cartoon characters? Maybe in a few years these characters could be on a TV show, your kid’s pyjamas or even be running for government?

I think these are the best Olympic mascots ever, if not the best cartoon characters of any kind. Which one is your favourite though, cheeky Sumi, gentle-giant Quatchi or the demure Miga? Tread carefully, the selection you make will give away a lot about you.
