LG Snowboard FIS World Cup Results
1st – Stefan Gimpl (52.7 points)
2nd – Gianluca Cavigelli (50.5 points)
3rd – Domen Bizjak (49.7 points)
The 6-times FIS World Champion celebrated his 30th birthday in style by grabbing his 7th title at London Freeze. Gimpl took the title with 52.7 points in front of a bumper crowd of 15,000 snowsports fanatics. Close behind the birthday boy were second placed Gianluca Cavigelli (50.5) and third placed Domen Bizjak (49.7).
Gimpl delivered a Frontside 1080 before wowing the crowds with a smooth Cab 900. They may not have been the most impressive tricks on Saturday but his technique and style showed why he has won so many titles. He made it look so easy. And that’s why he’s the champion.

LG Ski FIS World Cup Results
1st – Russ Henshaw (99 points)
2nd – Bobby Brown (98 points)
3rd – Andreas Håtveit (96 points)
An epic battle between Håtveit, Brown and Henshaw climaxed on Sunday night when New Zealander Henshaw triumphed with his very last jump. Despite howling winds and driving rain, Henshaw held his nerve to win gold with an amazing double cork 1260. All this with hardly any snow left on the slope.
The epic battle between Brown and Henshaw began with Brown racking up 98 points for his double cork 1260. Henshaw thought, two can play that game and replicated the move. It was Henshaw’s ability to perform two-handed mute grab throughout his 1260 that meant the title would be heading all the way to New Zealand.
See you all at London Freeze 2010.
