That’s assuming I can afford the cost of skiing in Europe. Spiralling prices espewcially lift passes and food& drink coupled with the dreadful exchange rate are a real deterrant

No reason for ski carriage to be more than standard bag handling fees, total rip off

Most of my family ski on telemark gear. It is extremely difficult to locate quality tele gear in European resorts therefore we will take our gear with us and face the price.

Anyway if folk like us dont take our gear we will deny baggage handlers the opportunity to compete in the ski bag javelin championships that we have witnessed in a few airports…

I’m actually going to drive to the alps with some mates this season as everything is sky high in Europe now with the rubbish exchange rate. Might even go for Canada on the second escape.

I think it is a total rip-off! Last season my daughter travelled twice with British Airways and her ticket allowed her to take skis boot bag, laptop and 1 item of hand luggage all included in the price… why don’t huge overweight people get charged extra!

….why rent at over £150 each time when it still only £30 for carriage for your own skis?
