With North America boasting fantastic snowfall and great ski conditions at so many resorts, it was a matter of time before Jasper came to the party. With epic snowfall in Breckenridge and Whistler already reported, Jasper received a massive 85cm last week with 60cm in just 2 days.

After such a promising start, expectations are high at Jasper’s Marmot Basin. It’s the first time that there has been a metre of November snow on the mid-mountain… EVER! If that’s not a great start to the 09/10 ski season, then I don’t know what is. 53 ski runs are now open for business with Knob Chair expected to follow soon.

Don’t forget, Jasper opened the amazing New Canadian Rockies Express high speed quad chair this year. So, getting up and down the mountain should be a lot easier and more frequent than before. That means more skiing and and that can only be a good thing.
