Ski apps for Symbian

Symbian ski apps

We’ve already hit you with our Top 5 iPhone ski apps and given our opinion on ski apps for android phones. Now it’s the turn of the seemingly forgotten Symbian.

So what ski apps can the Symbian handset users download? Well, don’t worry. You haven’t been forgotten by those crazy ski app creators so let’s see what they’ve got in store for you.

If you don’t know what Symbian is, here’s a quick synopsis. (If you don’t know what a synopsis is, look it up). Symbian is an operating system for mobile phones. That’s about it really. The main UK phones that use Symbian OS include Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson mobiles. Anyway, enough of that. Let’s get to the ski apps…

SnowRanger
Want a piste map that won’t get blown away in the wind? SnowRanger provides complete piste maps that work with your GPS technology. While you’re on the piste, pull your phone out of your pocket and find out where you are, where you’ve been and most importantly, where you’re going.

Unfortunately, the SnowRanger isn’t a free ski app. For example, ALL of Europe’s maps will set you back about £100 or you can buy them individually for £50 per country.

Top2Move
If you’re not convinced by SnowRanger, you could try the Top2Move ski maps. These digital maps also work with your GPS tracking system to give accurate information and provide user-friendly navigation around the mountains.

The piste maps are free to download but there is a set-up charge of about £30 to get Top2Move onto your Symbian phone.

Ski Resort Tycoon
Tired of planning every skiing day to the finest detail? Fancy something to take your mind of the lumps and bumps? Get on Ski Resort Tycoon then. Pretend you’re a megalomaniacal ski resort owner and see what you would do if you had the cash to fund such a lifestyle. Sadly, this is just a game but it’s still a lot of fun. So if you liked the old sim city games and rollercoaster tycoon – this is for you.

We’ve covered what we think are the best Symbian ski apps at the moment. Let us know what you think and if you’ve found a fantastic ski app that we’ve missed – drop us a suggestion. Thanks for stopping by and stay classy ski buzzers…
