Revamped Website Lists 4,680 Ski resorts

New skiresort.de website

German based Skiresort.de has revamped its web design and now offers information on 4640 ski destinations in 75 countries.

Skiresort.de was established in 1998 and has grown to be one of the leading portals in the ski world with more than one million visitors annually.

The site provides information, reviews and daily updated information on snow and slope conditions around the globe. Searching on a world map or via a country list, users can look for “Skigebiete & Testberichte (ski resorts and test reports)” or “Schneeberichte (snow reports updated daily for 1100 resorts)” or “Hotels”

The new English version of the site is still under construction but it is planned to launch soon.

Information available for each resort includes details of slopes and lifts, operating times and lift ticket prices, trail maps, hotel tips, events, pictures and webcams.

Resorts are also tested on 18 evaluation criteria including variety of the slopes, lifts and cable cars as well as slope maintenance and snow reliability.

Beginners, families and experts can thus find their optimal ski resort in winter or summer.

“We have set ourselves the goal of placing all ski resorts in the world on one site. The most interesting ski resorts have been tested by us and with the resulting test reports, we can give a complete resort orientation to visitors and help them make a decision for their next ski trip, “says founder and CEO of Skiresort.de, Oliver Kern.

The 36-year-old is no stranger to the snow sports industry. Kern has already visited more than
700 ski resorts worldwide and set several ski world records including skiing three ski areas on two continents in one day on both sides of the Pacific, and taking more than 70 different ski lifts up the mountain in a day. The passionate skier is always on the lookout for a new challenge in the snow.
