Vancouver snow report – a lack of the white stuff
With just a week until the Winter Olympics finally kick-off, the latest Vancouver snow report is here. Well, Vancouver itself isn’t looking great but south of the border, the US has been hit by its worst blizzard in 90 years leaving some parts under 2 feet of snow. Is it too late to change the Winter Olympics venue? See you at Washington 2010?
Vancouver is traditionally a rainy city and sits on Canada’s west coast. It is actually the second warmest of Canada’s major cities and boasts a moderate climate throughout the year. So, can we expect any snow during the Winter Olympics? Probably not.
But, don’t despair. Whistler Blackcomb was named the official alpine skiing venue for Vancouver 2010 for a very good reason. The snow at Whistler is amazing. And this season it hasn’t disappointed. Check out our previous Whistler snow reports if you’ve any doubts…
