World’s top racers head to Verbier
Following the Olympic Games in Vancouver and the finals of the World Cup at Garmisch, the world’s top racers are now heading to Verbier in Switzerland for the annual High Five competition sponsored by Carlsberg.
Promoted as a more fun contest over next weekend (March 26-28), the champions are in the famous resort to have a good time.
Competitors scheduled to take part include the triple medallist from Vancouver Aksel-Lund Svindal (gold in Super-G, silver in Downhill and bronze in the Giant Slalom), Julia Mancuso (silver medal in the Giant Slalom and Super-combined). Andre Myhrer (bronze medal in the Slalom), Didier Cuche (triple winner of the World Cup Downhill) and Jessica Lindel-Vikarby (winner of the Super-G in Cortina, 2009)
Alongside these will be Didier Défago, Marco Buechel amnd Britain’s Chemmy Alcott.
