New Freeze Festival 2010 website launched

19 April 2010 No Comment

Today saw the much-anticipated launch of the new London Freeze website. As skiers, snowboarders and music fans held their breath, London Freeze emerged in a somewhat surprising new guise – The Freeze Festival 2010. The site itself looks pretty cool – but, what can we expect from the first Freeze Festival?

The Freeze Festival will take place at Battersea Power Station on October 29-31, 2010. And despite the new name, you can expect the same blend of snowsports, music and winter fun as London Freeze.

Skiers from last year included big names like Simon Dumont, Jacob Wester, Colby West, Shinji Osada and TJ Schiller. The snowboarding line-up was similarly impressive, boasting the likes of Stefan Gimpl, Colin Frei, Iouri Podladtchikov and Gianluca Cavigelli. Let’s hope for more of the same…

Freeze is the UK’s biggest snowsports and music festival. And the music is taken just as seriously as the skiing and boarding. Last year’s headliners were rockers Eagles of Death Metal, electronic Orbital and the dance-punk sound of Friendly Fires. So expect a similarly eclectic mix of music at Freeze Festival.

It really is anybody’s guess who they’ve got lined up, both on the stage and on the slopes. We’re hoping that the growing popularity of the event will see even bigger names hit the Freeze Festival in 2010. We’ll keep you up to date with all the latest updates and information.

To get tickets to the Freeze Festival, you can sign up to their newsletter and you’ll be able to buy early-bird tickets. You must register here before 23rd April 2010. Tickets will go on general sale on May 7th 2010.

See you there…
