Swiss resort Adelboden is the latest to report business has improved in their recently completed 09-10 winter season.

The resort’s Mountain Transport System reported high numbers of passengers throughout the period, resulting in figures 5% above the five-year average, making this their third best winter ever.

Visitors were blessed with a large number of sunny days. A notable highlight of the season were the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup Races held on 9/10 January 2010.

Adelboden hoteliers also reported good figures.  Between December 2009 and the end of March 2010, there were 104,320 overnight stays in the resort, breaking the previous record, set the previous winter 2008/09, by 2000 bookings during the same time period.
