Squaw Valley Goes to the Dogs

22 June 2010 No Comment

Squaw Valley USA has welcomed a new shop, Squaw Dogs, Tahoe’s newest store for pets, to the Village at Squaw.

Geared towards “active dogs and their people”, Squaw Dogs features everything from food and supplements to keep dogs healthy and active, to life vests for dogs and dog-specific first aid kits for those big adventures.

“My goal is to really focus on the mountain lifestyle and care for dogs. People here are active and so are their dogs—I wanted the store to reflect that,” said Bridgette Shipley, Squaw Valley’s Director of Retail.

In addition to the brick and mortar, Squaw Dogs will host events for dogs and their loving owners such as meet and greets with Squaw Valley’s avalanche dogs in the winter.

Squaw Dogs will also be bringing back Squaw’s Pet Passes, which will provide both in-store discounts and admission to special events.

Squaw Dogs will be open daily from 11am to 5pm, staying open later for Doggie Date Nights at the Slot Grille every Monday.
