Plans for an indoor snow centre in Florida have been cancelled.

The backers of the proposed complex they named Solar Mountain have announced they wont be going ahead.

Problems with the development included the fact that the previous owner of the land where the complex was to be cited is currently taking legal action against the city.

The $30 million, 190-acre centre also planned to house sports facilities including a large tennis centre, and was expected to attract 2.5 million visitors in its first year, but although the developers looked at five alternative sites, they were unable to fund one that matched their requirements.
