Spiky US indie pop favourites Gossip are to open Austrian resort Ischgl’s winter season on Saturday 27 November this year. 20,000 people are expected to attend the open-air concert set in the shadows of the Silvretta mountains.

Gossip will interrupt their European tour across France, Germany and Switzerland to do the gig, right in the centre of town.

Gossip become the latest in a line of well-known popsters to play the Top of the Mountain concert, with Katy Perry, Alicia Keys and Kylie Minogue all having headlined in recent years.

The best part is that all you need to get involved is a valid lift pass, and even a one-day pass will do the job. At 55 euros for a day on the piste and a top show, that’s not bad.

So if you’re interested in getting along, better pray for snow and get booking…
