Intrawest Re-Finance Battle Goes On

The Fortress Investment Group LLC which owns Intrawest, which owns the leading Canadian resorts of Mont Tremblant and recent Olympic venue Whistler, is reported to have reached agreement with its creditors to extend the time it needs to refinance its debt to mid-April.

“Ski Runs Are Best If Created Simply” Study Reveals

A new study by the University of California Davis has determined that creating a ski run by clearing trees and foliage manually but leaving the underlying eco-system otherwise intact is better than using heavy machinery to re-grade the slope.

Plan For Super Ski Resort In Indian Himalayas Rumbles On

Plans for a major ski resort in the Indian Himalayas have suffered a new set back as the government have issued a cancellation notice for the plans, first launched with a wave of positive PR six years ago but bogged down for the past few years in legal arguments.
